Amsterdam, October 2025 – Clear.bio, provider of digital dietetic care for people with type 2 diabetes, has successfully completed an inspection by the Dutch Health and Youth Care Inspectorate. The inspection, conducted on July 3, 2025, confirms that Clear.bio largely complies with applicable laws and regulations and is continuously working to further improve the quality and safety of its care.
At Clear.bio, quality and safety are our top priorities. That’s why we are proud to share that the Dutch Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ) recently visited us for an inspection, and the results are positive!
The inspection was done in the context of thematic supervision, meaning it was a proactive assessment of healthcare providers offering (partially) digital care. This means it was not a response to a complaint or specific risk.
The inspection confirmed that Clear.bio provides safe, high-quality care for people with type 2 diabetes. The IGJ recognized the value of our digital approach: using continuous glucose monitoring, our smart app, and the support of our dedicated dietitians. They noted that our method helps patients manage their glucose levels effectively and that we are continuously working to improve the care we deliver.
The inspectors also reviewed our internal processes, information security, and focus on clinical effectiveness. A few points for improvement were shared: mainly around strengthening some reporting procedures, and we are already putting those into action.
Most importantly, the IGJ has closed the inspection, meaning they are confident in the way we provide care.
This is an important milestone for us, and we couldn’t have achieved it without our amazing team and the trust of our patients and partners. Together, we are proving that digital care can make a real difference for people living with type 2 diabetes.
